The SF Eagle Bar invites you to a special Saturday beer bust on April 13 from 3-6pm.
One-hundred percent of the proceeds pledged will go to the Cat Club — a fellow business in the LEATHER & LGBTQ Cultural District of the West SOMA neighborhood that was affected by a recent break-in and robbery that resulted in thousands of dollars worth of damages.
(A San Francisco Chronicle story about the burglary can be found here, and a link to a fundraising campaign is here.)
The Saturday fundraiser, which takes place at 398 12th Street, aims to provide financial assistance to the establishment and workers who were impacted by the crime. The SF Eagle Bar is committed to standing in solidarity with its community during challenging times, exemplifying the spirit of resilience and support that has defined the South of Market neighborhood for decades.
Attendees of the fundraiser can contribute to the cause by purchasing a $20 beer bust cup, which includes a substantial meal. Additionally, guests will be treated to performances by local drag artists, adding an extra layer of entertainment. Cat Club’s Porter Venn will DJ the event.
“We believe in the strength of our community and the power of coming together in times of need,” Lex Montiel, owner of The SF Eagle Bar said. “This fundraiser is our way of demonstrating our unwavering support for our neighbors and ensuring that those affected have access to the assistance they deserve.”
