T-Shirt Contest – Design Guidelines and Rules

- Design Guidelines:
- Provide a design inspired by the LEATHER & LGBTQ Cultural District’s mission and work.
- Design for the front of a t-shirt,
- Design for printing on a black t-shirt.
- The design should be no larger than 10”x12”, vertical.
- The design should be gender neutral.
- The design must include the following:
- The District’s URL: sflcd.org
- The year: 2025
- District Logo in color, with the chain circle at least 2” tall.
- Do not alter, modify, or distort the District logo in any way.
- Do not obscure any part of the logo.
- Do not change the logo’s colors.
- We will provide the District Logo Files
- The logo and District URL and year can be adjacent to the main artwork, if desired.
- We welcome and encourage including the artist’s signature
- Entry Submission:
Participants must submit their designs by 5:00 pm PST on April 1, 2025.
Participants may submit up to two designs.
All submissions should be provided in a vector based digital format AI, EPS and PDF.
Maximum file size is 10 MB
Entrants must be 18 years or older.
At the sole discretion of the District, entries deemed to not meet the eligibility criteria will not be considered.
Entries will be posted on the District website and social media. - Originality and Copyright:
By entering the contest, participants affirm that their design is original and does not infringe on any existing copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights. The participant warrants that they hold the complete copyright to the submitted design. - Assignment of Rights:
By submitting a design, the participant agrees to assign all rights, title, and interest in the design, including copyright, to the District.
The participant will sign any documents necessary to effectuate this transfer of rights upon request by the District. - Judging and Selection:
Submitted designs will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by the District.
Designs will be screened based on creativity, originality, relevance to the District’s mission, and overall appeal.
Entries meeting the above criteria will be voted on by the community.
Votes cost $1 each.

Voting begins on or around Wednesday, April 12, 2025.
Voting ends at 5:00 pm on May 7, 2025. - Prize:
The winner will receive a grand prize of $200 prize.
The prize is non-transferable and non-exchangeable. - Announcement:
The winner will be notified via email by May 20, 2025.
The winning design, winner’s headshot and bio information may be featured on the District’s website, promotional materials, and social media platforms. - Eligibility:
The contest is open to individuals who are at least 18 years old. Employees, board members, and immediate family members of the Leather & LGBTQ Cultural District (“District”) are not eligible to participate. - General Conditions:
By entering, participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
The District reserves the right to cancel or modify the contest and these terms at its discretion. - Liability:
The District is not responsible for any lost, late, or misdirected entries or for any technical difficulties that may impede entry submission. - Governing Law:
This contest is governed by the laws of California.
