General Information about Committee Meetings and Membership
Arts and Culture Committee – third Thursdays, 6-7pm
The next meeting of the Arts and Culture Committee will be Thursday, February 19. This committee advocates for creative activity in the Cultural District, organizes events, performances, public art, and gallery shows, and explores opportunities to attract and support leather and LGBTQ artists in the Cultural District. Communications Committee – second Thursdays of the month from 6-7pm
The January meeting of the Communications Committee has been cancelled. Our next meeting will be on Monday, February 16, at 6pm. The Zoom link for the meeting is Communications Committee Meeting. This committee handles the Cultural District’s social media and digital presence, public relations, branding, event promotion, and outreach to clubs, organizations, and individuals. Membership Committee – second Mondays, 6-7pm
The Membership Committee will take place on Monday, March 9, at 6pm.
Diversity Committee – first Thursdays, 6-7pm
The next meeting of the Diversity Committee is scheduled for Thursday, March 5. This committee works to ensure diversity of membership, programs and participants, and to promote diversity, inclusion and equity in our organization and our community. Contact the Diversity Committee chair for more info!
Fundraising Committee – select Tuesdays, 6-7pm
This committee plans the District’s fundraising events, LeatherWalk and the Golden Dildeaux Awards. Its work also includes planning other fundraising events and campaigns, exploring grant opportunities, and creating materials to generate donations to support the work of the organization. Please contact the Fundraising Committee chair for more info.
Land Use Committee – second Mondays, 4-5pm
The next meeting of the Land Use Committee has been rescheduled to Monday, March 9, at 4 pm.
This committee track construction projects and developments in the District and working with developers and city agencies to mitigate the effects of gentrification.
The Land Use Committee also works to preserve culturally and historically significant buildings, businesses, organizations, traditions, arts, events, and aesthetics, to protect tenants from displacement, and to promote affordable housing in the District. Safety Committee – first Mondays, 6-7pm
The next meeting of the Safety Committee Meeting will be on Monday, March 2, at 6pm.
The Safety Committee works with local residents—including kinksters, sex workers, and others across the spectrum of our diverse community—to promote safety, share resources, and foster strong district-wide connections. The committee organizes safety and tech-related resources into an accessible online hub, keeps neighbors informed about upcoming events, and invites broad participation in conversations on public safety. Through inclusive outreach and relationship-building, the committee supports a safer, more informed, and more connected district for all. Join the Safety Committee. Major Event Planning Tool
It has been noted that it can be hard to plan major events in our community without running the risk of clashing with another major event that appeals to the same target audience.
Of course, this is somewhat inevitable: there are only 52 weekends per year, and they aren’t making any more of them.
But we thought it might be helpful for people to have a place to record and quietly share their their tentative plans and schedules, even before they are ready to

Note: This is NOT intended to be an authoritative calendar for the world’s kink events. It is simply a handy planning tool, allowing planners to check for any obvious conflicts before they commit themselves. We hope it is helpful.
Kinky Superpowers
Kink Is My Superpower, a multi-media project from Divine Deviance, highlights the honesty, freedom, and strength of kinksters who have found our way out of the shadows and live proudly and openly.
They exist to help others tell their stories, share their experiences, and celebrate the superpowers they have discovered in kink, through films, books, calendars, and social media.
They are now developing an exciting book and documentary project about kink called Kink Is My Superpower.
These folks are inviting kinksters, whether of the 24/7 or occasional bedroom antics variety, to complete a very brief survey to help inform their project.
