The fifth cohort of the LEATHER & LGBTQ Cultural District Entrepreneur Training Program has its first session on Thursday, September 5, at 10:00 am. This is a nine-week training program where entrepreneurs from new or existing businesses serving the San Francisco leather and kink communities will develop their businesses from the ground up. There will be a Safety Forum: Community Unity Event on Saturday, September 7, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, at the SF Eagle, 398 12th Street, in San Francisco. The LEATHER & LGBTQ Cultural District will host a Beer Bust on Sunday, September 8, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm. at the SF Eagle. Enjoy Beer or Soda, delicious food, Jell-o shots, raffle prizes. Join the fun, and help promote LeatherWalk 2024.

The next meeting of the LEATHER & LGBTQ Cultural District Board of Directors will be Wednesday, September 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. This is our Annual Meeting, and will welcome our newly-elected Board Members and new President. The Nominations Committee of the LEATHER & LGBTQ Cultural District is pleased to announce the results of the recent Board of Directors and Presidential Election.

We have elected Bob Brown, Jonathan Ojinaga, and Alecia as members of the Board, each to serve three year terms, ending as of the Annual Meeting of August 2027.

We have elected Reika Faust as President, to serve a one-year term, ending as of the Annual Meeting of August, 2025.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the election.

In the Annual Organizational Meeting, with the new Board and President in place, elections were held for the other Officers. Eric See was elected Vice-President, Alecia Burley Secretary, and Bob Brown Treasurer.

Also at this meeting, Board Member Sumiko Saulson resigned from the Board, with thanks and best wishes. The Board expressed thanks to Sumiko for their service.

After that, Stephen Roberts was selected to fill the Board vacancy, serving until the August 2025 Annual Meeting.
