Ringold Revival Block Party and Boot Walk
To celebrate the recent repairs and maintenance to the Ringold Leather History Alley, the District and Soma West CBD held a block party, on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 12 noon to 3 pm, on Ringold Street, which runs from 8th to 9th Street, between Folsom and Harrison Streets in San Francisco.
- It featured:
A history tours by noted historian, and District board member, Gayle S. Rubin - Live painting with Josh Katz
- Rope bondage suspension with Two Knotty Boys
- Caricatures by Paul Gallo
- A blessing by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence
- Bootblack boy zander
In honor of the Alley’s bronze bootprints, sixteen local artists turned a combat boot into an art piece. The boots were on display during the event and put up for auction.
