Flying Our Colors

Just as we were admiring the new pole wraps on the lamp posts of SOMA… surprise!  New “pole banner” flags, bearing both the Cultural District logo and the colorful design of our custom bandanas. have now appeared!

Fifty of them are going up today and Monday, along Folsom, Harrison, and cross streets from 8th to 12th.

One side of the duplex banners features the name and logo of the LEATHER & LGBTQ Cultural District, over a background that reads “Kink / Consent / Queer / Power”.  The other side displays the pattern of the District’s custom bandanas (including boot-prints and other imagery), in one of seven classic “hankie” colors.

Gerardo Lopez and his team from A3 Visual mount Cultural District pole banners above Eagle Plaza.

The Cultural District sends its thanks to Supervisor Matt Dorsey and Legislative Aide Bryan Dahl for moving both of these long-awaited projects forward.
