DESCRIPTION:Overdose Prevention Training \nWednesday\, May 22\, 6-8pm \nOasis\, 298 Eleventh Street \nPLEASE REGISTER for this free event so we can prepare a test kit. \nWe invite you to join us for an Overdose Prevention Training by Kochina Rude sponsored by the LEATHER & LGBTQ Cultural District. The training will include how to recognize the signs of a fentanyl overdose and how to properly use Naloxone (Narcan). There will be also be training on how to use fentanyl test strips. Each participant will receive a kit with two doses of Narcan and a supply of test strips.The evening will include food and a special performance by Ryan Patrick Welsh\, star of “Sex\, Camp\, Rock ‘n’ Roll”. Admission is free but seating is limited. Please register to join us.Fentanyl overdoses have been at critical levels in San Francisco in the last few years. You can be prepared to save a life. \nOasis is 21+\nThis training is made possible by a generous grant from the Success Centers.

Public comment will be in-person only. \nThe Cultural History\, Housing\, and Economic Sustainability Strategies (CHHESS) Report\, serves as a roadmap of priorities and strategies for stabilizing the cultural community.  Each Cultural District leads a robust community engagement process and works alongside City departments to create to this legacy document and strategic plan aimed at fulfilling each District’s vision and goals. The final reports are approved by the full Board of Supervisors by resolution and are revisited every three years. \nWe encourage everyone to attend the hearing to speak in favor of passage of our CHHESS report!
