DESCRIPTION:We are the world’s first and only LEATHER & LGBTQ Cultural District. \nHave your voice in the leather community heard! Provide input on what the District does in the future! We want your input\, JOIN US\, Saturday\, January 11\, 2-5pm! \nHear about 2024’s accomplishments:\n– Provide your input to guide the District’s future.\n– Learn about ways to get involved in growing and supporting the\nDistrict.\n– The meeting will start with a segment by the City’s SOMA\n Stabilization Fund: \nProvide direction for this significant City funding source.\nThe funds are intended to keep SOMA a safe\, culturally and economically diverse neighborhood. \nYour input will help guide City choices about which programs and services are funded. \nJoin us at our Town Hall\, on Saturday Jan. 11\, 2-5 PM at Folsom Street Community Center\, 1286 Folsom St. \nThe entire community is invited and encouraged to attend. \nThe event is free and ADA accessible.  \nFor more information\, please visit www.SFLCD.org or write to info@SFLCD.org. \nWe exist to ensure there is a lively and vibrant home for our community of events\, businesses\, bars and organizations in SOMA. \nWhat we do: \n– We Keep SOMA Kinky and Queer by backing legislation\, such as\n allowing bathhouses\n– We install public art like murals and leather pride flags on light\n poles\n– We create community gathering spaces to activate our artists\,\n performers and makers\n– We provide an Entrepreneur Training Program for our\n community\n– We partner with local businesses and organizations to help\n them navigate City Hall and promote their events\n– We provide walking tours of historic SOMA locations.
